Synopsis Patayin sa sindak si Barbara (1995)

From the time they were young, Barbara always gave in to the will of her sister Ruth. Because of her love and devotion to Ruth, she would do anything for her. But Ruth was a very selfish girl who often took advantage of Barbaras kindness. When they grew to be young women, Barbara found the love of her life in Nick. Unfortunately, Ruth could not allow her sister to be happy. She decided she wanted Nick for herself. As a result, she told Barbara that if she could not have Nick for herself, she would kill herself.

This left poor Barbara with a crushing decision. Once again she stepped aside from her own chance of happiness and allowed her selfish sister to marry the man that Barbara loved. In her pain, Barbara moved to the United States from the Philippines to allow the young couple to begin their lives together without her.

Years later, Barbara received a shocking phone call from her home country. She was told that her sister committed suicide, leaving her young daughter Karen motherless. Barbara returned to the Philippines to grieve the loss of her sister and help care for her niece Karen. She soon discovered the motivation for her sisters suicide. Apparently, although she lived with her husband Nick for years, and even had a child with him, she was convinced that Nick never really loved her. She began to believe not only that he still loved Barbara, but that he was traveling to the United States to have an affair with her. Although she died, the rage she felt toward her sister lives on. The evil in Ruth has stayed on to haunt those who have remained behind. Barbara must do all she can to bring comfort to the life of her emotionally scarred niece and protect them both from the evil spirit of Ruth.
